D in Oxford cloth refers to denier. Denier is a unit used to measure the density of textile fibers. It is an indicator of the material strength of luggage and leather fabrics. Generally, 420D and 600D are often used. Materials higher than 600D are generally used in products that are prone to wear and tear, such as trolley cases.
