Our company mainly produces polyester taffeta products. From the fourth quarter of last year to September this year, in nearly a year, we truly ushered in the “beautiful spring” of polyester taffeta. The inventory we had accumulated for two or three years was not only sold out, but there was not even enough to sell. Prices continued to rise. During the most prosperous period of polyester taffeta, one machine made 100 yuan a day, which was five times higher than the same period last year. The prices of various products also increased by nearly 10%, and people had to queue up to wait for the goods.
However, after the National Day this year, the market conditions have slowed down, and the sales of polyester taffeta have dropped significantly, and the good situation in the early stage is completely lost. Now we also have a certain inventory pressure. Most polyester taffeta manufacturers have relatively high inventories. Due to financial pressure, some manufacturers have sold goods and prices have fallen back.

Our factory has more than 300 water-jet looms, mainly producing pongee and polyester taffeta products, some of which are used for white loom sales; in addition, unlike other manufacturers, some of our products are mainly used for A spot supermarket founded by myself. Judging from the sales of blanks in the market, the sales performance of these two categories of products in the first three quarters of this year was good. Basically, the transactions were in cash, and sometimes we had to queue up. In terms of spot supermarkets, “the quality of orders and the speed of spot goods” are also favored by traders.
But in November, last year’s Double Eleven hot sales did not reappear, and the overall market performance was relatively flat; now we mostly produce step by step and better control quality and other aspects. However, starting from mid-to-late November, the market seems to be showing signs of recovery again. Some fabric manufacturers have been repurchasing orders, especially for down jacket linings and linings.
