Recently, the Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision Bureau agreed after material review and comprehensive examination that the Yancheng City Market Supervision Bureau will be responsible for the construction of the “Jiangsu Province Cocoon and Silk Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center” with the Dongtai City Comprehensive Inspection and Testing Center as the main construction body.
Through preparations for the establishment of a provincial supervision and inspection center, the Yancheng City market supervision department will position a high starting point and high standard requirements, and actively introduce and cultivate professional and technical talents. Formulate (revise) scientific research, standards and procedures, etc., create a provincial comprehensive testing platform integrating testing, scientific research, and standards, and strive to provide technical support for the high-quality development of the cocoon and silk industry in Yancheng City and even the entire province.
The Jiangsu Province Cocoon and Silk Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center relies on the Dongtai City Comprehensive Inspection and Testing Center and the Dongtai City “Fu’an Town Qianmo Mulberry Garden” Silkworm Industry Base to build a new 2000 square meters laboratory. The laboratory is built in the industrial chain and at an agricultural and ecological tourism spot, and has public welfare service attributes. In the early stage, it served as a cocoon and silk product inspection room to assist the development of the industry, and a science popularization and observation point for cocoon and silk product quality and standard knowledge. In the later stage, the provincial quality inspection center will be used as a carrier to build scientific and technological innovation public service platforms such as “academician studios, doctoral workstations, engineering technology centers, and college student internship bases”.
