Teijin Fiber Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Japan’s Teijin Group that manufactures and sells polyester fiber, launched the “cooling neck scarf” as an energy-saving countermeasure product last summer and was well received. A new product with higher functions will be launched in late June this year. It adopts a new material that prevents clothes from getting wet and blocks ultraviolet rays, and has a 5-layer structure.
The full name of the product is “Cool Cooling Scarf”. After soaking in water, wring it out and put it around your neck. The principle of absorbing heat through evaporation makes people feel cool. Put the removable refrigerant in the refrigerator to cool down and then put it back into the neck scarf. The cooling effect will be better. Last summer’s product used ultra-fine polyester fiber with excellent water absorption, diffusion and cooling properties for the lining that comes into contact with the neck, and high water absorption and high moisture absorption fiber for the water-locking layer.
In addition to these two materials, the new cooling scarf uses mesh fabric that does not stick to water and facilitates the rolling off of water droplets on the surface that is in contact with clothing. The mesh fabric has good breathability and can keep you dry. Between the surface layer and the water-locking layer, there is a fabric that prevents liquid from flowing back to avoid getting wet around the collar. A stretch fabric that refracts ultraviolet rays is used between the lining that contacts the neck and the moisture-locking layer.
