On February 22, the 2022 annual summary evaluation meeting of Chongqing’s sericulture industry technology system was held in Qianjiang. Professor Dai Fangyin, chief scientist of the national sericulture industry technology system, was invited to attend the meeting to carry out docking work with Chongqing’s sericulture system. Researcher Wang Wanhua, chief expert of Chongqing’s sericulture system and director of the Municipal Sericulture Station, presided over the meeting. Relevant persons in charge from the Market System Construction Division of the Chongqing Municipal Commerce Commission and the Qianjiang District Forestry Bureau attended the meeting.
On the morning of the 22nd, after listening to the work reports of the 5 research laboratories and 4 promotion experimental stations of Chongqing’s sericulture system and the supplementary introduction by chief expert Wang Wanhua, Professor Dai Fangyin combined the current situation of the development of the national sericulture industry and trends, based on Chongqing’s actual situation, gave an objective evaluation of everyone’s work progress, and affirmed the achievements and highlights of Chongqing’s system. He pointed out that since the establishment of Chongqing’s sericulture system, it has gathered the R&D and experimental promotion forces of relevant advantageous units in the city, done outstanding work for the development of the industry, entered a stage of steady development, and has been in the research and development and application of automated and intelligent sericulture equipment. It is at the forefront of the industry in terms of demonstrations, large-scale construction of mountain ecological sericulture bases, and creation of sericulture biological industry bases, and the “Qianjiang Model” has been further demonstrated. He emphasized that the system’s tasks should be further refined around the bottlenecks, blockages, and difficulties of industrial development, focusing on key core technology needs, and continuing to make efforts. He suggested that the annual work of the system should have limited goals and precise division of labor in order to achieve better results.
On the afternoon of the 22nd, Professor Dai Fangyin and the participants inspected and investigated the development status of the entire sericulture and silk industry chain in Qianjiang District, and visited Chongqing Haitong Silk Co., Ltd., Chongqing Huashen Silk Co., Ltd., Chongqing Hong Silk Co., Ltd. Fanzhipu Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Taiji Sericulture Cultural and Creative Experience Center, Taiji Town Sericulture Base, Zhuoshui Town Sericulture Base, etc. had on-site exchanges with everyone.
