Style characteristics of main plain fabrics
Plain cloth – generally woven with plain weave, it has a flat appearance, a refreshing feel, a firm texture and is wear-resistant. 1. A ship of plain cloth (1) Coarse cloth: warp and weft yarns are made of 32-170tex and above (3-18 English below) coarse special yarns. The coarse cloth has a rough surface, a thick feel, and is durable. The warp and weft yarns are often spun from low-grade cotton. (2) Medium plain cloth: warp and weft yarns use 21tex (19-28 English) medium special yarns. Medium plain cloth has a tight structure and a smooth and clean surface. Cotton, viscose fiber or various fiber blended chemical fiber fabric yarns are commonly used as warp and weft. (3) Fine plain cloth: use 19-10tex (25-59 English) fine special yarns for warp and weft yarns. Fine cloth has a thin texture, even cloth mass, and soft hand feel. Cotton yarn is commonly used as warp and weft, and chemical fiber or blended chemical fiber fabric yarn is also used. The specifications of plain spinning yarn are shown in Table 5-2.
