Toray will work to expand the use of ecodar PET, a uniform material that contains partially plant-based polyester fiber, and expand the types of functional materials such as refractory materials and high-visibility materials. At the Uniform Comprehensive Exhibition held in Tokyo, Toray launched products suitable for use in service and work situations, demonstrating its rich variety of materials.
Ecodear PET materials are increasingly accepted by the market. For example, MIDORI ANZEN’s work clothes and Guangong School Uniform Company’s school sportswear all use this material. The company plans to add more differentiated products in the future. In addition, Toray is actively engaged in the development of materials such as highly visible materials and knitted fabric SOFTYFINE using uniform materials such as ecodar PET.
In the field of safety and protection, Toray has launched fire-resistant and anti-static NAFLAME-EL material. Although this product is still in the development stage, by adding conductive fibers with a lattice structure to the material and conducting internal testing within the company, the results showed that it complies with IEC standards (international standards related to electrical and electronic equipment). The company also makes the fabric stretchable by using materials such as fire-resistant acrylic fibers. In addition, Toray has also proposed using deodorizing nylon to make fire-resistant materials and developed highly breathable chemical protective clothing using charged non-woven fabric TORAYMICRON.
In addition, Toray has launched office women’s clothing made of SKORTUP material. After integrating trousers and underwear materials, it can achieve the effect of lifting hips and beautifying legs. For factories and nursing workplaces, the company has also developed adjustable uniforms that combine braces and pants. Workers at Toray’s factories are trying out the uniforms and hope the product will help them reduce fatigue and improve work efficiency.
In order to meet the needs of construction sites such as exterior walls, foundations and structural construction, Toray recommends work clothes of different materials. For example, Technoclean material with anti-fouling processing, SPRINGIE material with sweat-absorbent, quick-drying and UV protection, and ACTWIND VS, wind-proof and lightweight elastic knitted material, etc.
